Coach Profiles
-
UEFA B qualified coach with 4 years of coaching experience, plus 5 years playing in the semi-professional game. I’ve been with ISP for 3 years now.
My coaching style starts with building a positive culture — a safe space where players can learn and make mistakes without fear. I coach confidence before anything else; I believe it’s the number one skill any player needs to master.
Fun fact: I’ve been coached by Steven Gerrard, along with a number of other coaches who’ve gone on to become high-level coaches and managers in their own right.
-
UEFA C qualified, currently working towards my UEFA B. My playing background includes Preston North End (Championship), Larne FC in Northern Ireland, and I’m currently with Radcliffe in the National League North. I’ve been with ISP for around 6-7 months.
My sessions are short, sharp and high tempo — I’m not a fan of low-tempo sessions with long periods of running. I find players respond better to intensity, and as a player myself, that’s exactly what I’d want from a session too.
Fun fact: I’ve played in the Europa Conference League group stages.
-
I teach everything I’ve learned across a playing and coaching career that’s taken me through all four divisions of the football pyramid — 4+ years as a player and 4 months as a coach — passing it on in a way that makes players better without wasting a single session.
My focus is on intention, but also on enjoying the game. I specialise in group sessions, team coaching, and player development both on and off the pitch.
What makes me tick as a coach is working with players willing to take on information, willing to fail and keep trying new things, and who bring energy to every session — always trying to outdo their own standards, session by session.
Fun fact: I’ve played in all four divisions of the football pyramid.

FA Level 1, FA Talent Development, a first-class degree in coaching, and a qualified PE teacher. I played for Maghull and have been with ISP for around 14 months.
My style is built around guided discovery — having fun, moving the ball, and playing with freedom. I work across 1-to-1s and team sessions.
What makes me tick is seeing smiles and progression on players’ faces.
Fun fact: I’ve competed internationally across 3 sports — just not football. Can you guess which ones?

FA Level 1 qualified, currently playing at Woolton. I’ve been with ISP for just over a year, specialising mainly in 1-to-1s and high-energy sessions.
What makes me tick as a coach is seeing players develop — not just technically, but in confidence, character and how they approach the game. I love helping a player do something they didn’t think they could, watching their belief grow, and seeing that progress come to life on the pitch.
-
FA Level 1 & 2 qualified, with a Level 3 in Sports Science. My playing background spans various academies, the Welsh league, and the West Cheshire Premier. I’m coming up to 4 years with ISP, having delivered over 4,000 1-to-1 sessions.
I push every player to their limit while tailoring the session to them — getting to know each player personally so I understand their confidence and can help bring them out of their shell. I coach outfield 1-to-1s, goalkeeper 1-to-1s, and youth development across both low- and high-level teams.
Come find me on Pitch 3 — I’ve spent the last 4 years there, 5 hours a night, even in the snow. Hope to see you there!

UEFA B qualified coach, FA Talent ID Level 1 and National Goalkeeping badge holder. I’ve been coaching since 2021, starting out as a volunteer coach at Widnes FC before moving to ISP in 2023. Since then I’ve coached every age group from U4s through to adults, and I now oversee the running of ISP FC and the day-to-day development of our teams, supporting both players and coaches across the club.
My coaching is centred around developing people first and players second. I want players to become confident decision-makers who understand the game, enjoy taking responsibility and aren’t afraid to make mistakes — favouring game-based, realistic training with plenty of freedom for players to solve problems themselves.
I specialise in team training, small-group development, 1-to-1s and goalkeeper sessions, with a big focus on decision-making and understanding how to play as a team.
What makes me tick as a coach is seeing a player grow in confidence and start believing in themselves.
“I’ll believe in you until you believe in yourself.”

FA Level 2 in Coaching Football (UEFA C). My playing background took me through Preston North End’s youth setup before earning a scholarship and professional contract at Accrington Stanley at 18, with loans at Torquay and Altrincham, before spells at Alfreton and now Southport FC as a defender. I’ve been with ISP since August 2023 — just over 3 years — covering 1-to-1s, group sessions and after-school sessions across our schools in Maghull, Jeffrey Humble, NAC, Ainsdale and Wirral.
I specialise in 1-to-1 coaching, defending and mentality. As an ex-pro and current semi-pro player, I guide players on the pathway from grassroots through to academy, scholarship and beyond.
The kids call me “H” — and my favourite player growing up was Fernando Torres.
